Baldwin-Wallace wins battle of unbeatens
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Visiting Baldwin-Wallace (4-0) closed the first half with a 9-0 run, then opened the second half with an 8-0 run on its way to an 81-59 win over Grove City (3-1) in non-conference women's basketball action Thursday night at the Grove City College Arena.
Baldwin-Wallace, ranked 15th in this week's d3hoops.com poll, led wire-to-wire in holding Grove City to its lowest offensive output of the season.
Junior center Sandy O'Keefe (Perry, Ohio/Perry) led Grove City with 14 points and three blocked shots while senior forward Leigh LeGare (Copperas Cove, Texas/Copperas Cove) added 10 points and eight rebounds. Baldwin-Wallace out-rebounded Grove City, 46-29.
Lindsay Mamula led the Yellow Jackets with a game-high 22 points while Erika Schultz added 19 points, including 4-for-4 accuracy on three-point attempts.
Grove City returns to action next Wednesday, Dec. 10, against visiting Geneva.
