O'Keefe sets record; Kempema has career high in GCC win

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Junior center Sandy O'Keefe (Perry, Ohio/Perry) set a new single-game Grove City record with seven blocked shots while junior guard Jocelyn Kempema (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Edgewood) tossed in a career-high 18 points as the Grove City College women's basketball team downed visiting La Roche, 67-54, Monday night at the Grove City College Arena in non-conference action.

Kempema, meanwhile, shot 6-for-8 from the floor as part of her career-high effort.

Grove City (11-7) broke the game open with a 26-1 run over the final eight minutes of the first half. The Lady Wolverines trailed 15-12 before rallying to take a 38-16 lead into the intermission. Six different Grove City players scored during the run.
