Westminster downs Grove City
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's basketball team fell to 7-7 overall and 0-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Saturday afternoon with a 72-49 loss to Westminster in both teams' PAC opener at the Grove City College Arena.
Westminster (10-4, 1-0) led wire-to-wire, earning its third straight win over Grove City.
Freshman Rachel McCoy (East Liverpool, Ohio/Beaver Local) led the Wolverines with 17 points and seven rebounds. She also blocked three shots. Senior center Sandy O'Keefe (Perry, Ohio/Perry) added 10 points. Westminster held a 37-26 edge on the glass and made 10 of 17 three-point attempts.
Desiree Sterling led the Lady Titans with 14 points and 10 rebounds, including four threes. Rachel Eaton also tossed in 14 while Emilee Ackerman added 12.
Grove City visits Waynesburg Wednesday night.
