Thomas More tops Grove City
CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- The Grove City College women's basketball team had its three-game win streak end Monday night with a 74-56 loss to host Thomas More in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Connor Convocation Center.
Grove City is now 6-10 overall and 2-1 in the PAC. Thomas More is 12-4 overall and 4-0 in the conference.
Three Grove City players scored in double figures. Senior guard Tammy Hess (Vintondale, Pa./United), sophomore guard Shannon Overdorff (Eighty Four, Pa./United) and freshman forward Jennifer Wiley (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) all posted 10 points. Overdorff also had four assists.
Sophomore forward Rachel McCoy (East Liverpool, Ohio/Beaver Local) added eight points and six rebounds.
Thomas More led 36-30 at halftime and broke the game open with a 14-2 run in the second half. Brooke Warner and Amanda Link each fired in 10 points for the Saints.
Grove City will host Thiel Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m. in PAC action.
