Bethany tops Grove City
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's basketball team fell to 7-17 overall and 3-8 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Wednesday night with a 60-48 loss to Bethany (8-16, 4-7 PAC) in the Grove City College Arena.
Bethany led 31-23 at half and opened the second half with a 20-4 run. Lisa Mitchell led the Bison with 16 points.
Sophomore forward Rachel McCoy (East Liverpool, Ohio/Beaver Local) led Grove City with a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double. It is her eighth double-double of the season.
Grove City shot just 28 percent (18 of 65) from the floor. Bethany converted 21 of 60 shots (35 percent) from the floor. The Bison also out-rebounded Grove City, 46-44.
Grove City will host Washington and Jefferson Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
