Grove City falls at Saint Vincent

LATROBE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's basketball team dropped a 67-56 decision at Saint Vincent in Presidents' Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon at the Carey Center.

Freshman guard Lexie Arkwright (Mercer, Pa./Mercer) led Grove City with a career-high 15 points while junior forward Kathryn Erbelding (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Olympia) pumped in 11 points. Sophomore guard Teresa Dallatore (Mars, Pa./Mars) added a career-high nine points for the Wolverines (5-8, 3-3 PAC).

Grove City led 16-15 with 7:27 left in the first half but Saint Vincent (12-1, 6-0 PAC) closed the period on a 19-7 run.

Grove City shot 20 of 53 (38 percent) from the field for the game while Saint Vincent went 23 for 50 (46 percent). Grove City held a 38-27 edge in rebounds as senior Cayley McClean (Airville, Pa./Kennard-Dale) pulled down a game-high seven rebounds. Arkwright added six rebounds.

Taylor Mathers led Saint Vincent with 19 points.

Grove City will visit Chatham at 6 p.m. Wednesday night in conference play.
