Grove City falls on road

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- The Grove City College women's basketball team dropped an 82-37 decision at second-ranked Thomas More (18-0, 11-0) Wednesday night in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Connor Convocation Center.

Junior forward Natalija Galens (Covert, Mich./Grace Christian) and freshman guard Lexie Arkwright (Mercer, Pa./Mercer) each posted a team-high eight points for Grove City (7-11, 5-6). Galens also grabbed six rebounds while senior Cayley McClean (Airville, Pa./Kennard-Dale) pulled in a team-best seven boards.

Grove City shot 14 for 57 (25 percent) from the field for the game while Thomas More posted a 28-for-63 (44 percent) outing. Nikki Kiernan led the Saints with 19 points.

Thomas More owned a 46-33 edge in rebounds. Grove City had 23 turnovers while Thomas More committed 15. Thomas More led 50-20 at halftime.

Grove City will host Waynesburg in conference action Saturday at 1 p.m.
