Grove City 61, Thiel 48

February 6, 1999--Karin Hendrickson (New Wilmington, PA/Wilmington) recorded 19 points and 11 rebounds and drew to within 11 points of 1,000 for her career as the Lady Wolverines eased past host Thiel, 61-48, in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match-up.

Grove City, winner of four of its last five games, moved into sole possession of first place in the PAC at 4-1 and 10-9 overall.  Thiel slipped to 1-3 in the league and 11-8 overall.

Stephanie Murphy (Munroe Falls, OH/Stow-Munroe Falls) chipped in with 11 points on 5-for-5 shooting from the floor.  Jackie Becker (Broadview Heights, OH/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) contributed nine points and seven boards.

The Lady Wolverines buried 50% (24-48) of their shots from the floor while holding Thiel to 28% (16-57) shooting.

Grove City hosts La Roche in a non-conference affair Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.   Hendrickson will look to become the school's seventh 1,000-point scorer all-time.
