Wilmington (OH) 66, Grove City 58

December 5, 1998--The Grove City College women's basketball team bowed to Wilmington College of Ohio, 66-58, in the championship game of the Penn State Behrend Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Krista Summers (Staunton, VA/Grace Christian) paced the Lady Wolverines with 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting, while sophomore Becky Barber (Warren, OH/Champion) and senior Karin Hendrickson (New Wilmington, PA/Wilmington) finished with 13 and 10 points, respectively. 

Summers and Hendrickson were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Grove City, 2-3 overall, shot 42% (24-57) from the floor, while Wilmington netted 41% (25-56).  The Lady Wolverines attempted just nine free throws (6-9) compared to Wilmington's 26 chances (12-26).  Wilmington improved to 4-1.

The Lady Wolverines host Geneva next Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
