The Lady Wolverines opened the New Year with a 40-point loss to nationally-ranked Simpson College (IA) Saturday night in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Freshman Erica Youngman (Portersville, PA/Slippery Rock) scored a team-high 12 points in her second start, sinking 4 of 7 shots from the floor, including 3 of 5 from outside the three-point arc.

Grove City fell to 3-6 and will take on Colorado College in Colorado Springs next Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. EST.  Simpson, ranked among the Top 25 in the latest Columbus Multimedia poll, improved to 6-1.
