GCC women take second at
Crispin
WHEELING, WV, April 4, 2002--A pair of Lady Wolverine golfers carded scores in
the forties to help Grove City place second out of four schools at the
Bethany Invitational, held at Oglebay's Crispin Golf Course on Thursday.
Freshman Mary Brown (Carnegie, PA/Carlynton) fired a 42 to place just two shots behind medalist Ann Powroznik of Fairmont State (40). Junior Kristin Costanzo (Powell, OH/Olentangy) shot 46 to tie for sixth overall, while sophomore Betsy Hollo's (Natick, MA/Natick) 50 was good for ninth in the 27-player field.
Fairmont State won the invitational with a score of 192, followed by Grove City (200), Washington & Jefferson (236) and Glenville State (240).
