Brown leads Lady Wolverines to first victory

GREENVILLE, PA, April 11, 2002--Freshman Mary Brown (Carnegie, PA/Carlynton) validated her Presidents' Athletic Conference player of the week honor by capturing first place at the Thiel Invitational with a nine-hole round of 43 at the Greenville Country Club on Thursday.

Grove City won the event -- its first invitational title of the season -- with 203 team strokes, 27 shots clear of runner-up Westminster, who totaled 230.  Washington & Jefferson and Thiel finished third and fourth, respectively, with scores of 235 and 267.
