Grove City 3rd in PAC
WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's golf team placed third at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships Tuesday and Wednesday at Oak Tree Country Club. Grove City accumulated 442 strokes on Tuesday to place third. Heavy rains Wednesday cancelled the second day of competition. Washington & Jefferson won the PAC title with a team score of 336 while Westminster (400) took second.
Freshman Renee Ward (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) tied for 10th with an 18-hole score of 106. Sophomore Liz Kahn (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) placed 14th with a 109.
W&J's Leslie Walker won the PAC's individual title with a 76.
