Grove City opens at Capital Invitational
LOCKBOURNE, Ohio -- The Grove City College women's golf team opened the 2008 season Friday and Saturday by placing 15th at Capital University's 17-team Purple and White Invitational at Foxfire Golf Club. Grove City accumulated a 36-hole score of 937. Otterbein won the team title with 662.
Sophomore Renee Ward (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) tied for 53rd overall with a two-day score of 209. Freshman Corinne Seiling (Monaca, Pa./Center) tied for 65th with a 223. DePauw's Nicole Garza earned medalist honors with a 162.
Grove City will compete in the Washington & Jefferson Invitational at Southpointe Monday at 10 a.m.
