Grove City hosts Invitational, takes 2nd
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's golf team hosted a four-team Invitational Thursday afternoon at Grove City Country Club. The Wolverines accumulated 444 team strokes to placed second overall. Saint Vincent won the team title with 433. Westminster (454) and Thiel (518) rounded out the field.
Sophomore Renee Ward (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) led Grove City with a second-place finish. Ward fired a 95 in earning runner-up honors. Saint Vincent's Taylor Bianco carded an 83 to earn medalist.
Freshman Corinne Seiling (Monaca, Pa./Center) tied for fifth with a 103 while freshman Jessica Johansen (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany Hills) took seventh with a 109.
Grove City will compete in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match at New Castle Country Club Monday afternoon at 12 p.m.
