Wolverines take 3rd at PAC Championships

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's golf team placed third at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships, held at Oak Tree Country Club Monday and Tuesday. After firing a team score of 413 on Monday, the Wolverines posted a 424 for a 36-hole total of 837.

Including PAC competition from the fall and earlier this spring, the Wolverines posted a six-round team score of 2529. Washington & Jefferson won the team title with a 2161 while Westminster took second at 2459.

Sophomore Renee Ward (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) placed fourth overall with a two day score of 184. Ward earned First Team All-PAC after compiling an overall four-round score of 366 during the season.

Meanwhile, freshman Corinne Seiling (Monaca, Pa./Center) earned Second Team All-PAC with a four-round score of 387. Seiling shot a team-best 91 Tuesday.

W&J's Leslie Walker earned medalist honors with a total score of 322, including a 161 over the past two days.

It is Grove City's second straight third-place finish at the PAC Championships.
