WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's golf team placed third out of seven teams at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Fall Invitational, held at Oak Tree Country Club Monday and Tuesday. The Wolverines posted a team score of 783 for 36 holes. Westminster shot 758 and Washington & Jefferson carded an aggregate 760.

Freshman Esther Durling (Perry, Mich./Perry) captured the individual title for Grove City, shooting a 163. Durling won medalist honors by 17 strokes over W&J's Catherine Robinson and Jennifer Suder, who both shot 180.

The team scores from the Fall Invitational will carry over into the spring championships, scheduled for April 23-24, 2012. The individual scores do not count toward All-PAC honors, however. The All-Conference teams will solely be based upon the spring portion of the championships.

Grove City will compete in the Thiel Invitational Saturday, October 1.
