Wolverines 3rd at Grove City Invitational
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's golf team opened the spring portion of the 2011-12 Saturday by taking third at its own Invitational, held at Grove City Country Club. The Wolverines recorded a team score of 399. Clarion won the team title with a 349 and Point Park took second with a 396.
Freshman Esther Durling (Perry, Mich./Perry) led Grove City by taking third overall with an 86. Clarion's Samantha Veights earned medalist honors with an 83.
Grove City returns to action April 9 at Westminster College's Eckles Invitational in New Castle, Pa.
