Grove City earns 3rd at Thiel

HERMITAGE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's golf team captured third place at the eight-team Thiel Invitational, held Saturday at Tam O'Shanter Golf Course. The Wolverines accumulated a team score of 388, trailing only Carnegie Mellon (347) and Mount Union (350).

Senior Esther Durling (Perry, Mich./Perry) placed fourth with an 84 for Grove City while freshman Carolyn Jack (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) placed 10th with a 93. CMU's Summer Kitahara earned medalist with a 77.

The Wolverines return to action September 29-30 at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Fall Championships in New Castle, Pa.
