Wolverines, Durling win at Behrend
NORTH EAST, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's golf team captured the team title and senior Esther Durling (Perry, Mich./Perry) earned medalist honors at the Penn State Behrend Invitational.
Durling shot an 81 to win the individual title by 12 strokes over Mount Aloysius' Rachel Mackrell and lead the Wolverines to a team score of 426. Freshman Carolyn Jack (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) took third individually with a 95 while junior Rebecca Shakely (Butler, Pa./Butler) and sophomore Megan Baak (Landisville, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) shot scores of 109 and 141, respectively.
The Wolverines return to action September 29-30 at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Fall Championships in New Castle, Pa.
