Grove City women win Thiel Invitational
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Led by three top-eight individual finishes, the Grove City College women's golf team shot a team score of 379 to win the seven-team Thiel College Invitational title at the Greens of Greenville on Saturday afternoon.
Junior Esther Durling (Perry, Mich./Perry) earned medalist honors at the event by shooting an 81 to lead the Wolverines while senior Kayla Finney (Valencia, Pa./Mars) tied for second in the 32-golfer field with an 89.
Freshman Jordan Greenwall (Denver, Colo./Arapahoe) posted an eighth-place score of 98 on the day while junior Victoria Van Buskirk (Alliance, Ohio/Marlington) rounded out the Grove City scoring with a 111.
The Wolverines will next compete on Thursday at the Saint Vincent Invitational.
