Grove City takes 3rd at Saint Vincent
LATROBE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's golf team placed third out of four teams Thursday afternoon at the Saint Vincent Invitational, held at Glengarry Links. Grove City finished with a team score of 413. Carnegie Mellon compiled a 333 to win the title, followed by Saint Vincent at 367. Thiel (457) took fourth.
Sophomore Carolyn Jack (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) led Grove City by firing a 95, good for eighth in the 25-golfer field. Carnegie Mellon's Summer Kitahara earned medalist honors with a 76.
Grove City returns to action Saturday at the Westminster Invitational. That event will be held at the New Castle Country Club.
