Durling wins again, Wolverines second at Thiel

GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Senior Esther Durling (Perry, Mich./Perry) shot an 82 to earn medalist honors by eight strokes and lead the Grove City College women's golf team to a second-place team finish at the Thiel Spring Invitational on Saturday afternoon at The Greens of Greenville.

The Wolverines shot a four-woman score of 405, finishing ten strokes behind Westminster for the team title.

Junior Katie Birmingham (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) fired a 101 to finish sixth in the 22-golfer field while junior Rebecca Shakely (Butler, Pa./Butler) tied for 10th with a 107 while competing as an individual.

Grove City is scheduled to host its own Spring Invitational on Monday at the Grove City Country Club, weather permitting.
