Grove City hosts Spring Invitational

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's golf team finished third at its own Spring Invitational on a rainy Monday afternoon at the Grove City Country Club.

The Wolverines shot a four-person score of 418. Carnegie Mellon won the team title with a 344 while Westminster took second with a 406.

Senior Esther Durling led the Wolverines and finished fourth overall in the 19-player field with an 88 while freshman Carolyn Jack (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) took eighth with a 103.

Grove City will compete in the 2015 Presidents' Athletic Conference Spring Championships this Friday and Saturday at the Cedarbrook Golf Course in Belle Vernon, Pa.
