Grove City lady booters off to 2-0 start

GROVE CITY, PA, September 6, 2000--Freshman Danielle Balliet (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) tapped in a rebound in the 17th minute and sophomore goalkeeper Katy Turman (Meadowbrook, PA/Abington) made six second-half saves to lead the Lady Wolverine soccer team to a 1-0 win over visiting Geneva Wednesday.

Grove City improved to 2-0, while Geneva slipped to 1-2.

Balliet has had a hand in all three Lady Wolverine goals this season, having assisted on both GCC tallies in last Friday's 2-1 win over La Roche.  Junior Erica Long (Cranberry Twp., PA/Slippery Rock) played the first half in goal and was credited with two saves.
