Leaders of the PAC go to 4-0

BETHANY, WV, October 4, 2000--Grove City exploded for four goals in the first half and beat host Bethany, 4-0, in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match-up Wednesday.  The Lady Wolverines boosted their conference record to 4-0 and improved to 8-3 overall.  Bethany, last year's PAC champion, fell to 1-3 in the league, 2-9 overall.

Four different Lady Wolverines found the back of the net as Grove City outshot Bethany 21-7.  Sophomore Karen Reefer (Butler, PA/Slippery Rock) opened the scoring in the third minute with her fifth goal of the season off a pass from senior Erica Snow (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek).  Snow accounted for the second goal, her sixth, from freshman Meg Tilley (Columbia, MD/Hammond) in the 29th minute.

Grove City added a pair of goals before intermission as Tilley netted her team-leading ninth goal of the season in the 38th minute, assisted by senior Nanmarie Woodford (Fairfax, VA/Bethlehem Baptist).  Junior Sarah St. Clair (Erie, PA/McDowell) rounded out the scoring with her first goal of the season off a pass from junior Adrienne Hill (Portville, NY/Portville Central).
