Lady Wolverines still perfect in the PAC

GROVE CITY, PA, October 19, 2000--Junior Adrienne Hill (Portville, NY/Portville Central) netted her first career hat trick as the Lady Wolverine soccer team completed a perfect 8-0 conference record with a 6-1 victory over visiting Bethany on Thursday.

Grove City, 12-4 overall, will be the top seed at next weekend's Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament.  GCC earned the right to host the tournament by placing first in the regular season.  Bethany fell to 2-6 in the PAC, 5-13 overall.

Hill scored all three goals in the final eight minutes, the last coming with one second left in regulation to give her five goals on the season.

Freshman Meg Tilley (Columbia, MD/Hammond) opened the scoring with her team-high 12th goal of the year, unassisted in the third minute.  Freshman Danielle Balliet (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) made it 2-0 in the 20th minute, off a pass from sophomore Karen Reefer (Butler, PA/Slippery Rock).  One minute later, Reefer buried her seventh goal of the season from Tilley to give Grove City a 3-0 lead.

Sophomore Katy Turman (Meadowbrook, PA/Abington) made a pair of saves as the Lady Wolverines outshot the Bison, 23-3.
