Novosel scores twice as Lady Wolverines tie Frostburg

FROSTBURG, Md. -- Sophomore forward Michelle Novosel (New Wilmington, Pa./Wilmington) scored a pair of goals to help the Grove City College women's soccer team tied host Frostburg State (4-1-3) 3-3 in overtime Wednesday afternoon.

After Frostburg took a 1-0 lead, Novosel knotted the match by scoring off a corner kick. Grove City (3-4-1) tied the match again in the second half as junior Meg Tilley (Columbia, Md./Hammond) scored off a Stacey Brubaker (Houston, Pa./Chartiers-Houston) assist.

The Lady Wolverines then took the lead when Novosel scored via an assist from senior Karen Reefer (Butler, Pa./Slippery Rock). Diane Metzger (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) and Autumn Hubbard (Nampa, Idaho/Nampa Christian) assisted on Novosel's first goal of the afternoon.

Grove City begins Presidents' Athletic Conference play Saturday at Bethany.
