Grove City junior Danielle Balliet (2) directs the ball through the snow and sleet Tuesday against Westminster.

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Despite blustery conditions, Grove City (10-5-2, 7-1-1 PAC) and Westminster battled to a 1-1 double-overtime tie Tuesday afternoon at College Field in Presidents' Athletic Conference women's soccer action.

Grove City took a 1-0 lead in the 58th minute as Meg Tilley (Columbia, Md./Hammond) scored her conference-leading 19th goal of the season. Tilley corralled a loose ball in front of the Westminster net and blasted it in.

However, Westminster tied the game on Tammy Newell's 86th-minute goal. Westminster (12-5-2, 8-0-1 PAC) out-shot Grove City, 21-16. Katy Turman (Abington, Pa./Abington) made 15 saves for the Lady Wolverines.

The tie gives Westminster the top seed in the PAC tournament Nov. 7-8. Grove City will be the second seed. Both teams receive quarterfinal byes.
