BETHANY, W. Va. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team ran its win streak to eight games Wednesday with a 4-1 win over Presidents' Athletic Conference rival Bethany, raising Grove City's record to 9-3-1 overall, 5-0 in the conference.

The win streak ties a school record set Sept. 26-Oct. 18, 2001.

Five minutes later, senior Diane Metzger (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) doubled Grove City's lead after an assist from junior Michelle Novosel (New Wilmington, Pa./Wilmington). The lead grew to 3-0 at the 21:06 mark as Tilley scored an unassisted goal.

Bethany cut the lead to 3-1 by halftime but Grove City sealed the victory in the 63rd minute as sophomore Kate Klingensmith (Wexford, Pa./Pine-Richland) scored via a Tilley assist.

Grove City out-shot Bethany (0-10-1, 0-4-1 PAC) 17-3. In goal, freshman Kori Koper (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) made one save to pick up her first collegiate victory.
