Brubaker hat trick leads Grove City
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team won for the second time in as many days as the Wolverines rolled to a 3-0 victory over visiting Medaille (0-3).
Junior forward Stacey Brubaker (Houston, Pa./Chartiers-Houston) recorded a hat trick, scoring all three goals unassisted. Her first goal came on a penalty kick in the 25th minute. Brubaker scored her second goal of the half in the 44th minute, then closed the game's scoring in the 61st minute with her third score on just four shots.
As a team, Grove City out-shot the Mavericks 33-1 and had 16 corner kicks. Sopohomore goalkeeper Kori Koper (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) stopped one shot, picking up her first career shutout.
Grove City returns to action Tuesday night at Carnegie Mellon for a 7:30 p.m. start.
