Fredonia foils Grove City
FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team fell to 2-3 with a 3-0 loss at Fredonia State Friday afternoon in a semifinal match at Fredonia State's Days Inn Classic.
Fredonia State took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by Jessica Weiser. Second-half goals by Linsay Kulas and Danielle Rawcliffe broke the match open.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kori Koper (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) stopped 14 shots for Grove City, which plays Capital in the consolation match Saturday. Fredonia State out-shot Grove City, 21-4.
