Wolverines win in overtime
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Freshman Bethany Peck (Abingdon, Md./Bel Air) scored in the 103rd minute Saturday, lifting the Grove City College women's soccer team to a 1-0 double-overtime win over host John Carroll at Don Shula Stadium in non-conference action.
Peck scored off a rebound, earning her third goal of the season. Grove City (3-4-1) out-shot John Carroll 18-15, including 4-1 in the extra sessions. Sophomore goalkeeper Kori Koper (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) recorded five saves to earn the shutout.
Grove City visits Mount Union Wednesday night for a non-conference match at 7 p.m.
