Westminster snaps Grove City streak
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Host Westminster secured a 4-0 victory over Grove City in Presidents' Athletic Conference women's soccer action Thursday afternoon, snapping the Wolverines' 17-match PAC regular season unbeaten streak.
Westminster took a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute on a goal from Brittany McKee. Second-half goals from Sarah Bouldin, Angie DePascale and Jennifer Raub sealed the win. For Grove City (5-6-1, 1-1 PAC), sophomore goalkeeper Kori Koper (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) stopped five shots.
The Lady Titans out-shot Grove City, 24-6.
Grove City was 16-0-1 in its last 17 regular season matches against PAC foes, dating back to a 1-0 loss at Westminster Oct. 12, 2002. Grove City returns to action Tuesday afternoon at home against PAC rival Waynesburg.
