Wolverines fall to Otterbein
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team fell to 0-2 Saturday afternoon with a 6-2 loss to Otterbein at College Field.
Senior forward Stacey Brubaker (Houston, Pa./Chartiers-Houston) scored Grove City's first goal at the 20:20 mark, then assisted on a goal by freshman midfielder Laura Shipley (Austin, Texas/St. Michael's Academy) in the 62nd minute.
Otterbein (2-0) jumped out to a 3-0 lead nine minutes into the match and led 5-1 at halftime. Freshman goalkeepers Diana Pragel (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Arcadia) and Bethany Preston (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois) each played one half in goal. Pragel stopped four shots while Preston had two saves.
Grove City will host Carnegie Mellon Wednesday at 5 p.m.
