John Carroll tops Wolverines, 2-1
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Visiting John Carroll earned a 2-1 victory over Grove City in non-conference women's soccer action at College Field Saturday afternoon.
John Carroll took a 1-0 lead in the 44th minute on Lauren Wilson's unassisted goal. John Carroll's Erin Grzegorzewski doubled the lead with a goal at 52:30. Grove City (1-4) cut the lead to 2-1 as senior Katie Klingensmith (Wexford, Pa./Pine-Richland) scored an unassisted goal.
John Carroll owned a 16-10 edge in shots. Freshman goalkeeper Bethany Preston (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois) stopped five shots for Grove City.
The Wolverines will host Mount Union Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.
