Grove City falls at Allegheny
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team fell to 1-6 overall Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 loss to host Allegheny in non-conference action.
Allegheny jumped to a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute as Ashley Rogerson scored off a corner kick. The Gators scored twice in the second half to seal the win. Christy McShea scored in the 68th minute while Meghan Borden scored six minutes later.
Allegheny owned a 37-4 edge in shots. Freshman goalkeeper Diana Pragel (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Arcadia) stopped nine shots.
Grove City will visit Westminster Wednesday afternoon in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match.
