Westminster nips Grove City, 1-0
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Host Westminster (8-2, 3-0 PAC) scored in the 88th minute Wednesday afternoon to pull out a 1-0 victory over Grove City in Presidents' Athletic Conference women's soccer action.
Westminster's Abby Montgomery scored the lone goal of the match at the 88:00 mark. Westminster held a 33-11 edge in total shots.
Freshman goalkeeper Bethany Preston (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois) stopped 18 shots in 81 minutes of action. Freshman Diana Pragel (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Arcadia) started in goal and stopped one shot.
Grove City (1-7, 1-1 PAC) will visit Waynesburg Friday afternoon in a PAC match.
