Westminster tops Grove City
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team fell to 3-3-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference and 3-9-1 overall Thursday afternoon with a 3-0 loss to visiting Westminster (11-3, 6-1 PAC) at College Field.
After a scoreless first half, Westminster scored three second-half goals. Mallory Bugel scored twice in the second half while Abby Montgomery also scored. Westminster held a 19-10 edge in shots.
Freshman goalkeeper Bethany Preston (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois) stopped nine shots for Grove City. The Wolverines host Waynesburg Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. in a PAC match.
