Wolverines blank Waynesburg, 2-0

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team improved to 4-3-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Tuesday afternoon with a 2-0 victory over visiting Waynesburg (6-10-1, 2-7 PAC) at College Field.

Freshman Anne Koller (Titusville, Pa./Homeschooled) scored her first collegiate goal at the 35:02 mark to put the Wolverines (4-9-1 overall) ahead. Freshman Sara Griffin (Marilla, N.Y./Nardin Academy) provided the assist.

Grove City doubled the lead at 85:33 as junior midfielder Maia Siber (Canton, Ohio/Canton McKinley) scored an unassisted goal. It is her third goal of the season.

Freshman goalkeeper Bethany Preston (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois) earned the shutout victory with five saves. It is her first shutout victory. The Wolverines owned a 43-7 edge in shots over Waynesburg.

Grove City will host Bethany Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. in PAC action.
