Wolverines fall in PAC title match
CINCINNATI -- The Grove City College women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to host Thomas More in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament title match Saturday afternoon at the University of Cincinnati.
Third-seeded Thomas More jumped out to a 1-0 lead at 11:42 on a goal by Emily Kellner. The lead grew to 2-0 at 58:16 on a goal by Julianne Brown. Thomas More (13-4-2) out-shot Grove City, 17-12. Freshman goalkeeper Bethany Preston (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois) stopped six shots for the Wolverines (6-12-3).
It is the sixth straight season that Grove City has played in the PAC title match. Grove City won PAC titles in 2000 and 2001.
