John Carroll nips Wolverines, 1-0
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The Grove City College women's soccer team fell to 3-1 overall Thursday afternoon with a 1-0 loss to host John Carroll (1-2) in non-conference action at Don Shula Stadium.
John Carroll's Laura Violante scored off a corner kick at 48:16, putting the Blue Streaks ahead. John Carroll out-shot Grove City, 17-6.
Sophomore goalkeeper Diana Pragel (Rochester, N.Y./Greece Arcadia) stopped nine shots for the Wolverines. The goal is the first allowed by Grove City this season.
Grove City will host Lake Erie Saturday afternoon in a 1 p.m. non-conference match at College Field.
