Grove City gives Lamie 150th career victory

BETHANY, W. Va. -- Grove City College women's soccer coach Melissa Lamie earned her 150th career victory Saturday afternoon as visiting Grove City blanked Bethany, 3-0, at Hoag Field. Lamie now has a career record of 150-109-18 in 15 years as Grove City head coach.

Lamie is the all-time winningest coach in Presidents' Athletic Conference women's soccer history. She is also Grove City's all-time winningest women's soccer coach. She has led Grove City to five PAC titles and two NCAA Division III Championship Tournament berths.

Lamie earned her 100th career victory as head coach October 1, 2003 as Grove City defeated Thiel, 2-0. Her 50th career victory came Sept. 10, 1999 in a 1-0 win over Hiram.

This season, Lamie has guided Grove City to a 9-0-1 record, which is the best start in program history. Grove City also owns a 53-7-5 record against PAC foes over the last eight seasons. 

A native of Denver, Colorado, Lamie is also Grove City’s head men’s and women’s golf coach. She coached the women’s basketball team at Grove City from 1992-2006 and is also that program’s all-time wins leader with 157.
