Grove City falls 1-0
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team fell to 1-2-2 overall Wednesday afternoon as host Allegheny pulled out a 1-0 win in non-conference action at Frank B. Fuhrer Field.
Allegheny (4-2) broke a scoreless tie at the 38:08 mark on a goal from Julie Muller. Allegheny owned a 16-1 edge in shots and a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Two goalkeepers saw action for Grove City Wednesday. Senior Bethany Preston (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois) played the first half and made two saves in 45 minutes. Freshman Keri Ketcham (Fredonia, N.Y./Fredonia) blanked the Gators in the second half, making three saves.
Grove City will host Baldwin-Wallace Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at College Field at 3:30 p.m.
