Wolverines tie B-W

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team battled visiting Baldwin-Wallace to a 1-1, double-overtime draw Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at College Field.

Grove City (1-2-3) took a 1-0 lead at the 5:11 mark as senior Michelle Peck (Abingdon, Md./Bel Air) scored off an assist from classmate Elise Bender (Alexandria, Va./West Potomac). The Wolverines maintained that lead until the closing moments when Baldwin-Wallace's Angie Wigton scored at 86:31.

Grove City outshot B-W (3-3-1) 7-1 in overtime but could not break the tie. For the match, Grove City owned a 20-17 edge in shots. The Wolverines also doubled up Baldwin-Wallace in corner kicks, 4-2.

Freshman goalkeeper Keri Ketcham (Fredonia, N.Y./Fredonia) stopped seven shots for the Wolverines. Ketcham is now 0-0-2 this year.

Grove City will visit Penn State Behrend Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
