Grove City 7, Hiram 2

September 2, 1998--Sophomore Lyndsay Younkins (Freeport, PA/Freeport) scored three goals and added two assists in her first collegiate start as the Lady Wolverines won their season opener at Hiram, 7-2.

Grove City led 5-0 at halftime.

Sophomore Erica Snow (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) netted a goal and an assist, while senior Megan Koerber (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield), senior Allison Franklin (Jamestown, NY/Southwestern), and freshman Adrienne Hill (Portville, NY/Portville Central) had a goal each.  Sophomore Nanmarie Woodford (Fairfax, VA/Bethlehem Baptist Christian Academy) and freshman Kathy Keehlwetter (Mercer, PA/Mercer) each recorded an assist.

Younkins tallied two goals in 13 appearances last season.

Grove City hosts Geneva Friday at 4:00 p.m.
