Grove City falls on road

WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team dropped to 9-6 overall and 3-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Tuesday night with a 2-1 setback against host Waynesburg at Wiley Stadium.

Grove City owned a 28-6 edge in shots and a 12-8 advantage in corner kicks. However, the Wolverines could not seize the lead during the match. Waynesburg (8-6-2, 2-4) took a 1-0 lead at 25:55 on Taylor Augustine's goal. The Wolverines pulled even in the second half when senior Hannah Yang (Davis, Calif./Davis) scored her 10th goal of the season at 54:14.

Waynesburg reclaimed the lead at 61:47 on a goal from Courtney Ebersole. Ebersole had assisted the Jackets' first goal of the night in the first half.

Freshman goalkeeper Tiffany Yost (Christiana, Pa./Living Word) stopped two shots for the Wolverines, who had won four straight entering Tuesday night's match.

Grove City will visit Saint Vincent Friday at 3 p.m.
