Case nips Grove City in OT
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Grove City College women's soccer team dropped to 2-1 overall Friday evening as host Case Western Reserve pulled out a 1-0, double-overtime win over the Wolverines in non-conference action. Case Western's Kendra Simmons scored 5:46 into the second overtime to break a scoreless tie.
Case Western owned a 22-6 edge in shots, including an 18-4 advantage in the second half and overtime. Sophomore goalkeeper Tiffany Yost (Christiana, Pa./Living Word) recorded eight saves for Grove City while playing all 105:46.
Case Western had five corner kicks and Grove City registered two.
Grove City will visit John Carroll Saturday at 2 p.m. in non-conference action.
