B-W nips Grove City in OT
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team dropped to 2-4 overall Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 double-overtime setback against Baldwin-Wallace (4-2) in non-conference action at College Field.
Baldwin-Wallace's Noelle Fox scored an unassisted goal at 102:13 to break a 1-1 tie and give B-W the win.
Grove City took a 1-0 lead at 31:43 when junior Grace Rieman (Arlington, Va./Homeschooled) scored her first goal of the season. Freshman Sarah Flenniken (Hudson, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) assisted Rieman's goal.
B-W tied the match at 48:39 on an unassisted goal by Heather Keller.
Sophomore goalkeeper Tiffany Yost (Christiana, Pa./Living Word) stopped six shots for Grove City, including two in the first overtime. Baldwin-Wallace owned a 19-16 edge in shots while Grove City had a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.
The Wolverines will visit Penn State Behrend next Wednesday at 4 p.m. in a non-conference tilt.
