Wolverines fall on road

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team dropped to 1-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Wednesday afternoon as host Thomas More earned a 4-1 win over the Wolverines in conference action at Bank of Kentucky Stadium.

Grove City (3-5-2) broke through at 59:14 when senior midfielder Cara Colley (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) scored her first goal of the 2011 season.

Thomas More (5-3, 2-0) scored a pair of early goals to take control of the match. Chrissy Sonderman scored at 3:52 while Kirstie Reilman scored at the 15:41 mark. The Saints then scored twice in a 33-second span early in the second half. Allison Crossley recorded the third goal at 49:51 and Sam Work closed the Saints' scoring at 50:24.

Thomas More outshot Grove City 10-7. Thomas More had five corner kicks, compared to two for Grove City. Sophomore goalkeeper Tiffany Yost (Christiana, Pa./Living Word) stopped one shot for the Wolverines.

Grove City hosts conference rival Waynesburg Saturday at 2 p.m.
